Every two years, young artists meet in Wiesbaden for a grand festival. In 2018, the European Youth Circus will take place from Thursday to Sunday, October 25-28.
The state capital Wiesbaden is the focus of the circus, artist and variety scene throughout Europe every two years. The European Youth Circus is a special event for both the international audience and the people of Wiesbaden, making it one of Wiesbaden's outstanding cultural events.
The selection committee has sifted through the 157 applications from groups of artists and performers who have applied to take part in the European Youth Circus. It has decided on 25 performances from eleven European countries, which will now be invited to the artist festival in Wiesbaden. Due to the high quality, the decisions were not easy, but were made amicably and with conviction.
The "European Youth Circus"Artists' Festival has received a great honour: the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, has accepted the patronage for the European Youth Circus 2018.
The advance ticket sales for the competition and gala events started on 1 August 2018. Tickets are available exclusively at the Tourist Information or by calling the telephone hotline 0611 / 1729-930. They can also be conveniently booked online again.
Ticket prices, depending on seating category and event, range from ten to 52 euros. Participation in the Ecumenical Artists' Service on Sunday, October 28, at 11 a.m. is, of course, free of charge.
