Exactly two years ago, the Eva Klesse Quartet released its second album "Obenland", manifesting its status in the European jazz scene. Excellent reactions from the media, invitations to festivals and international concert tours followed, taking the band as far as Asia, Central and South America.
Now, then, the third chapter in this artistic success story: "miniatures - ten songs for chamber jazz quartet". Its title indicates the direction in which the aesthetic pendulum is tending this time. Whereas on "Obenland" many rather long pieces with great dynamics and wide arches were captivating, the new album sounds altogether more intimate and clear. What has remained is the exciting interaction of different playing attitudes and characters, which contributes a lot to the special charisma of the quartet. As well as the attentive listening to each other and giving each other space. And the fine feeling for telling intense stories without words.
Band lineup: Evgeny Ring (as), Philip Frischkorn (p) , Stefan Schönegg (kb), Eva Klesse (dr)
