Ralf Schwob was born in 1966 in Groß-Gerau, worked for a long time as a nurse and later studied German in Mainz. After graduating, he worked as an editor and advertising copywriter. Today he works as a freelance author and bookseller and lives with his family in his hometown of Groß-Gerau. He has been awarded various prizes for his literary works, including the Literature Promotion Prize of the City of Mainz. In 2011 his Ried novel "Büchners letzter Sommer" was published. In 2013, "Problem Child" was published by Societäts-Verlag.
