In May they received the Jazzstipendium of the city of Frankfurt 2016 and left no doubt in the minds of audience and press with their award winner concert that they deserved it. Fabian Dudek (sax), Jan Philipp (dr), Rafael Krohn (g) and David Helm (b) inspire with interesting compositions and expressive improvisations, variable dynamics and impetuous energy. The scholarship jury praised the cheeky power-play without clichés as well as the courage to combine stylistic elements from various corners of jazz and charge them with prog-rock borrowings.
