On the 3rd weekend of Advent, the Christmas market shines in nostalgic light. The romantic centre of the old town, as well as the square in front of the imposing St. Catherine's Church, provide the fascinating backdrop for craft stalls, storytellers, medieval music and numerous other programme items.
While the nostalgia carousel makes its rounds, mulled wine is served from the fire pot. The scent of spices, gingerbread and other treats caresses the noses of visitors. In addition, the underground cellar labyrinths of Oppenheim "The City Beneath the City" will be opened for this special occasion.
