Get acquainted with inspiring young musicians from the Escuela de Música Reina Sofía, one of Spain's most prestigious music schools, founded by Queen Sofía in 1995. This group of talented musicians has won several prestigious awards, including "best chamber music ensemble" in 2010. Paul Goodwin, artistic director and principal conductor of the Carmel Bach Festival in California, will conduct the concert, combining his passion for dynamic repertoire with more traditional repertoire to bring a piece of Spanish history and culture to Frankfurt. The final concert will also include performances by various quintets, sextets, and chamber ensembles (some with piano and violin accompaniment), as well as folk songs by mezzo-soprano Beatriz Oleaga. These lively performances feature pieces by Enrique Granados, Manuel de Falla, Luigi Boccherini, Eduard Toldrá and Pablo de Sarasate.
