For the second time, the legendary Flashlight Concert, a benefit event of the Bunte Kreis Rheinland, will take place in Koblenz. On Saturday, 26 August 2017, it starts at 6 pm at the Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer.
Until the concert starts at 8 pm, organizers and sponsors present themselves with many attractive offers for young and old. From raffles with great prizes, climbing, face painting for children or delicious food - there is something for everyone. Then at 7.45 pm the balloon competition will start - the first visual spectacle when hundreds of balloons rise into the sky.
On the stage in front of a fairytale-like backdrop, the well-known team with Insa Backe (WDR) and Hanno Friedrich (actor) will be hosting, and then from 8 to 10 p.m. the Berlin band Rumpelstil will be playing well-known, but also unknown songs, making the evening an incomparable experience for spectators of all ages. This is not least due to the fact that singer Blanche and her bandmates Brumme, Peter and Max have mastered the rare art of fascinating the audience across generations as well as genres with a special mixture of rhythmic, wild, poetic, funny, dreamy and surprising titles and lyrics.
And when it gets dark, thousands of lights will dance in the evening sky of Koblenz. Allowed is anything that glows: Flashlights, bendy lights or headlamps. Rumpelstil recommends to all children in Koblenz: "Mark this date in mum's and dad's calendar. Hide the TV guide. Be nice to your parents. Get a working flashlight or other colored lights, a blanket, a warm jacket, something or someone to snuggle with, and stress-free siblings. Clean up your room! You won't be back until late at night, after all, and it would be a shame to break your favorite leg at night because the drum kit is still in front of the bed. There are songs and stories to dance and listen to, to laugh and join in, to sing and dream. And when it gets dim, the magic of lights can begin."
The admission of € 6.00 per child and adult goes to the benefit of the Bunte Kreis Rheinland e.V. which cares for children with cancer, chronic and serious illnesses and their families.
