That's quite an announcement. "We make music, we want to dance, we want you to join the party, crack, boom, pow!" So says the website for the quintet from Laurentians, Quebec. In 2017, the five surprised the indie scene with their debut "Princess Flash" along with hit single "Queens + Kings". With "Monami," high school friends Élie Raymond (guitar, vocals), Antoine Lévesque-Roy (bass), Thomas Bruneau Faubert (trombone, synthesizer), Charles Primeau (guitar) and Emmanuel Vallières (drums) dropped a new album in June 2019. "The record is bursting with timeless tunes that warm the heart," reads the website www.bedroomdisco.de. About the single "Charger," singer Élie Raymond let the world know, "The song is the result of two dreams. I dreamed two melodies and decided to put them into one song. It's about loving and wanting to stay close to things that inspire me and make me happy. First, my home, the Laurentians: the snow, the comfortable silence. And a girl: wanting to stay near her, with all that she is. But in all the love, there's the pressure of wanting to be enough for both of them."
