An event with tradition - Fun for the whole family
There is no question that Wäldchestag is and remains the most important holiday for the people of Frankfurt, even though for several years now most shops now stay open all day. Just a few years ago, all Frankfurters were given the day off from 1pm at the latest to celebrate Wäldchestag at the Oberforsthaus in the city forest. But even though this beautiful tradition is unfortunately a thing of the past, the people of Frankfurt don't let it spoil their desire to celebrate. This year again, the enormous variety of gastronomic offerings (over 45 establishments offer their delicacies), rides such as the Ferris wheel or the fire + ice roller coaster, sales booths and musical performances testify to this.
Among others, The Silverballs, The Gypsis or also Flo & Chris will perform on the Rainbow Stage and provide for a good mood. On the Festhalle Hausmann stage Hot Stuff or magic clown Eugenio will provide the right atmosphere. On the Rock & Soul Stage Schwarzwaldhaus am Kamin there will be rock, soul and oldies and the We Love Frankfurt Stage presents the top DJs of the Frankfurt club scene. This and much more will be offered on the various stages of the festival grounds over the four days.
A total of 142 booths invite visitors to visit this traditional folk festival from June 8 to 11.
