Rebekka de Wit and Willem de Wolf write letters to each other about love and radicalism. She, born in the Netherlands in 1985, is a theatre maker and novelist. He, also born in the Netherlands in 1961, is an actor and playwright.

Both belong to Flemish acting collectives. They sign their letters not with their own names but with "Georg Forster" and "Therese Heyne". They put themselves in the place of the famous couple who lived in Mainz at the time of the Mainz Republic. He, world traveler and revolutionary, disillusioned by Robespierre's terror, died ill and lonely in Paris. She, a writer, editor, and emancipated woman, openly kept a lover, Ludwig Huber, in addition to her marriage, whom she married after Forster's death.

The correspondence between Rebekka and Willem is the centerpiece of their first joint project, which revolves around the leitmotif of "change": change of mood, change of government, and change of love. A play about revolution, about change at a time when the first ideological war is raging in Europe and "All men become brothers" has yet to be written.
