Weg von hier" - under this title Frank-Markus Barwasser sends his alter ego Erwin Pelzig back on Germany's stages with a new solo program since the beginning of 2017. "Away from here", however, are also the words with which many escapes begin.
If there was once the escape from the Enlightenment into Romanticism, today it is the escape from reality into a perceived reality, an escape into the Internet shelters of those who think alike, an escape from the flood of information into a fact-free life.
Such escape routes are convoluted and confusing. Whether they lead to a new romance seems rather uncertain. But because Erwin Pelzig prefers to stay than to go anyway, he at least wants to know what is behind these escapes. Who benefits from them, and who are the smuggling gangs here? So Pelzig digs and ponders his way through the chaos of our alleged epochal change in "Weg von hier", accompanied as always by his two friends Hartmut and Dr. Göbel.
