Be an apron controller for once - interactive event at the Visitor Centre
On 15 and 16 March, families can visit the Airport Control Centre
The new exhibit "Apron Control" allows visitors to slip into the role of an apron controller themselves. In three different difficulty levels, aeroplanes have to be guided safely from the runway to the gate and vice versa - in different weather conditions and traffic volumes. Those who master the game become certified apron experts!
Highlights:
In addition to the exciting airport game, there are many other attractions: Real apron controllers will be on site to give insights into their profession and provide support in completing the tarmac simulation. A special highlight for young visitors is the appearance of Chase, the brave police dog from the popular children's series "Paw Patrol". He is looking forward to taking memorable photos with his little fans.
Creativity is not neglected either: in the painting and craft corner, children can make paper aeroplanes and colour in pictures of the airport mascot Fluggi. Guests of all ages can also embark on a virtual journey with a VR-supported ride in the baggage conveyor belt.
Competition:
Those who take part in the Quiz on the apron and find the correct answer can win an extraordinary prize with a little luck: Four people aged six and over can take an exclusive look behind the scenes and visit the apron tower of Fraport AG - an area that is normally reserved for employees only.
Dates and tickets:
The event takes place on both days at four fixed time slots at 10 a.m., 12 noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the Visitor Centre in Terminal 1. Tickets can be secured in advance.
As an added bonus, all Visitor Centre guests will receive a 10% discount voucher for snacks and drinks at Coffee Fellows in Terminal 1, Area C.
