The Frankfurt Fashion Week 2022 will take place from June 20 to 26. Offered to all interested a unique program of over 100 events. For one week, there will be fashion, art and culture at unusual and characteristic locations in the city. In this way, the Main metropolis wants to position itself as a fashion location and make the topics of sustainability, fashion, lifestyle and fashion culture tangible. Frankfurt Fashion Week will kick off with a grand opening show by renowned and internationally known Frankfurt designer René Storck, who is also a member of the Fashion Council Germany. Whether the opening show of René Storck in the great trading hall of the German Stock Exchange, a catwalk across the Main River by Frankfurt's young designer Samuel Gärtner or a "Highest Fashion Event" in lofty heights on the skyline terrace of Radio Frankfurt - the Main metropolis will set new impulses in the fashion world with shows, exhibitions, talks and more, make fashion and lifestyle visible and for all to experience.
The Frankfurt Fashion Lounge comprises the largest event series for Frankfurt Fashion Week, with numerous fashion shows, talks and panels at the Carmelite Monastery, the Alte Oper and the Sofitel Frankfurt Opera. A total of 16 runway shows with 54 designers - including 40 local designers from Frankfurt alone - are planned in the Carmelite Monastery as part of the Frankfurt Fashion Lounge.
In addition to numerous fashion shows, panels and exhibitions, such as the Lab 106 in the MyZeil (freely accessible to everyone), there will also be so-called DesignWalks through Frankfurt. The name of the project: IntoDesign. Here, participants will have the opportunity to also take a look behind the scenes of a fashion show or take a closer look at the electronic nightlife of the Main metropolis under the expert guidance of a Frankfurt DJ.
Urban street style and skate culture as styles of fashion combine the SKTWK (Skateweek), which also takes place during the event week, with the Frankfurt Fashion Week. With an official opening vernissage in the Lachenmann Gallery as a kick-off event on Wednesday (22.06.) and skate shows as further program highlights on Thursday at the Hauptwache, the SKTWK offers a varied program that will inspire citizens.
Workshops, showcases and shopping opportunities on innovative fashion and lifestyle are available at Neonyt Lab in Union Halle. The fashion platform, which is organized by Messe Frankfurt parallel to Frankfurt Fashion Week, is aimed at consumers interested in fashion who want to make their everyday lives more sustainable. Discussion rounds and interviews will be held daily on the Fashionsustain stage - because fashion is more than image and consumption.
In total, more than 35 players from the creative industry will be participating in Frankfurt Fashion Week with their events and campaigns.
