Guided tours with Sabine Hock and curator Maren Härtel.
The Historisches Museum Frankfurt honors the grande dame of Frankfurt's fashion world with a studio exhibition in the 13th Collector's Room. For the opening, the Journeymen's Association of the Bespoke Tailors Guild Frankfurt Rhine-Main is hosting a defilee in Toni Schiesser's original dresses from the guild's collection. The Frankfurt historian Sabine Hock will introduce the exhibition. She and curator Maren Härtel will give guided tours of the - attention! - small 13th collector's room.
Toni Schiesser was instrumental in shaping Frankfurt's reputation as a fashion city. Her tailor shop was top in the fashion industry in the 1970s, with the largest turnover in Germany.
