It is probably the most atmospheric finish in the world. Whether three- or six-hour runners: in the Frankfurt Festhalle at the thunderous finale on the red carpet, glaringly illuminated by spotlights, every marathon runner is at the goal of his dreams. Every finisher is celebrated in the packed stands of the Festhalle.
But the final highlight after 42.195 kilometres is not the only reason for the popularity of the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon. The varied course; the flat profile; the dense atmosphere created by around 500,000 spectators on the roadside; the great value for money for the starters; the perfect organisation - last year alone, the running classic on the Main attracted over 27,000 participants.
