Frankfurt – Unvarnished presents a documentary view of the city beyond clichés. Photographer and author Lars D. Unger portrays people and living environments that are often overlooked in everyday life and reads from his book of the same name.
In a mixture of exhibition, reading and discussion, the evening combines photography, personal memories and social observations into a haunting journey through Gallus, the station district and other facets of the city. It is about dignity, changing perspectives and seeing and understanding Frankfurt with all its contradictions.
