Gustav disappears without a trace during a skiing trip with his school class. Weeks of uncertainty and hope pass until the parents admit to themselves: Gustav is not coming back. Together they search for a new daily routine, a new life - until one day there is a knock at the front door...
In a surreal-realistic way, Brattberg observes the parents' state of mind in their different phases of the grieving process - with all its repetitions and reversals; while the tone of the play constantly fluctuates between tragedy and farce, exploring the border zones of dealing with death and grief in a happiness- and success-oriented society.
