On the occasion of his 80. In 2018, the passionate Wiesbaden collector Frank Brabant is establishing a generous foundation: his extensive art collection, which includes primarily Expressionist and Neo-Saxon tendencies of Classical Modernism of about 600 works, will in the future be affiliated with the Staatliches Museum in Schwerin and the Landesmuseum in Wiesbaden. Brabant was born in Schwerin in 1938, and made Wiesbaden his adopted home almost 60 years ago.
The extent to which the Brabant Collection fits into the Wiesbaden Museum is wonderfully revealed by the exhibition From Beckmann to Jawlensky, which presents the broad spectrum of art from the first half of the 20th century alongside many highlights by renowned artists.
