The band interprets standards and originals from the middle of the last century, the heyday of modern jazz, when extraordinarily creative figures such as Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and numerous contemporaries in New York were mastering the art of improvisation
strongly advanced the art of improvisation, creating a vast and fascinating legacy for posterity that continues to influence and shape those involved in the contemporary music and art scene.
Such is the case with the musicians of FF&F, who have made it their life's mission to intensively study, practice and share this music. Gary Fuhrmann and Felix Fromm had a shared flat in Mannheim after their studies and have been making music together in numerous different bands for many years now.
