The German Museum of Architecture shows "Yesterday's Future - Visionary Designs by Future Systems and Archigram". The exhibitions focus on drawings, collages and models created around the 1980s by Czech architect Jan Kaplický who emigrated to London in 1968. Kaplický was part of "Future Systems", which mainly designed technoid constructions for "friendlier earthscapes". These are juxtaposed with works by Archigram from the DAM collection twenty years earlier, which are more organic architectures for survival in uncomfortable spheres. The designs of the London-based architectural group Archigram (Peter Cook, Ron Herron and Dennis Crompton) and Future Systems led by Jan Kaplický and David Nixon are classified as utopian architecture.
