The big bear looks helplessly at a round, white egg, which must have been lost to the fox. Suddenly the shell cracks open: "Mama!" cries the little goose, which hatches out of the egg and from that moment on does not leave the bear's side. As goose and bear slowly approach each other, they are watched by Mr. and Mrs. Fox, the dear neighbors.
Based on the picture book "Gans der Bär" (Goose the Bear) by Katja Gehrmann, members of the inclusive ensemble Meine Damen und Herren (Ladies and Gentlemen) develop a fairy tale with performers from the transnational group Hajusom, with which they negotiate questions of identity, homeland and family and lively mix up clichés. Interwoven with stories from the lives of the ladies and gentlemen and the Hajusom performers, "Gans anders" develops a highly personal, insightful dynamic and shows how complex issues can be playfully questioned - and that there is often not just one truth.
