Yes, music always seemed to be in his blood. For 20 years now Giuseppe Porrello has been a musician, singer and composer with heart and soul. For him, music is everyday, inescapable. If he stands in the room, he spontaneously makes music at the door frame, if he sits at the table he drums a new beat with all kinds of utensils and if he talks to his children, it can happen singing.
But only at the age of 14 he got his first instrument - a guitar from his grandpa. The future foundation for his talent. As a teenager, of course, he formed a band. Later, he attended music school for a short time, but it was, in his own words, "too theoretical".
He continued to make music whenever and wherever he could, standing as a humble guitarist sometimes alone, sometimes with band or his mentor, jazz singer Foots, 40 years his senior, on small stages, jam sessions and sometimes on the road. Out of a growing need, he began to sing and was often told that his voice was somehow special.
In 2004, he formed his band "Gastone", which still exists today. In the beginning, the gigs paid worse than right, but today they count many loyal fans, are known throughout Germany and have been on the road with Ayo, Nneka, La Bela Puerca and Panteón Rococó, among others
