Die Katakombe Frankfurt show "Lenz" - a play based on the novella by Georg Büchner, which tells how the writer Lenz falls into madness. Although he flees to the country clergyman Oberlin to cure himself, there is no improvement in his suffering. Lenz suffers at the hands of the powerful poet-prince in Weimar, who here looks down on him.
A parody of the literary epoch of idealism, which uses subtle textual treatment to reflect Lenz' suffering in Büchner's powerful description of nature in language.
