Last year, George Ezra allowed the first, brief glimpses of his new album at two exclusive performances. The Brit, who became the shooting star of 2014 with his surprise hit "Budapest" and subsequent debut album "Wanted on Voyage," had just dropped his new single "Don't Matter Now" at the time, which impressed with its funky horn sections, laid-back background chorus in the chorus, summertime laid-back vibe and easygoing vocals.
Now Ezra has confirmed that he will be playing two shows in Germany next April under the banner of "Top Secret" after a long wait. "It's been a bit quiet around me lately," he says himself in a statement, "as I've been slaving away on the songs that will eventually form my second album. It's taken me a little while to figure out what I want to write about and what I want it to sound like. But I don't want to give too much away yet, but rather invite you to come to my first tour. The concerts will be quite different from the previous ones, because I will present quite a few of the new songs live for the first time. In addition, a few new band members have joined us, who will provide a more powerful sound. Together we'll deliver the best show possible, and of course we'll play all the George Ezra hits from the first album." So the success man George Ezra, who broke into the Top 10 in quite a few countries with his debut album, collected gold and platinum records for it and who spent a whopping 122 weeks in the UK charts with "Wanted on Voyage", who enchanted the crowds at Glastonbury with a more than convincing performance, is back full of power and with new, big songs.
