George Gershwin is considered the first American composer to break the wall between classical and popular music and had an enormous influence on the development of jazz. He defined the sound of America!

His personality, his music, the congenial collaboration with his brother Ira Gershwin, his wives and friends, the zeitgeist in early 20th century America, which Gershwin helped shape through the soundtrack of his music. All this becomes present through Nadia's cheerful moderation.

Among others, his piano works, selected songs from the "Songbook", the opera "Porgy and Bess" and "Rhapsody in Blue" in Gershwin's piano version will be heard.
