Over 30 years ago, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson set out to hunt ghosts in New York, directed by Ivan Reitman. The comedy became a cult film that even the weaker 1989 sequel couldn't hurt. Since then, fans have been clamoring for a reunion of the GHOSTBUSTERS, which, after the death of Harold Ramis and the soon to be released reboot with a new team, should now be almost impossible. But no one will take the original away from us! This film will continue to delight fans old and new for decades to come. Because the GHOSTBUSTERS DAY last year at the German Film Museum showed that the original team can still create a storm of enthusiasm. And since it was so successful and now Paul Feig's remake/reboot is coming to our cinemas, there will be another big GHOSTBUSTERS event at the Filmmuseum in 2016.
From 10am onwards there will be a small exhibition in the foyer of the museum, with beautiful collectibles and video game stations inviting you to immerse yourself in the world of the ghostbusters. In addition, Ghostbusters doubles will also be guests, who will of course be available for photos. In the afternoon, the Bluescreen Film Studio will open on the fourth floor of the museum. Here, visitors can then be transported into a truly ghostly environment.
In the evening, then the highlight: a double feature with GHOSTBUSTERS and GHOSTBUSTERS II will be shown in the cinema of the Film Museum. Before that, there will be a premiere: the fan group "Real Ghostbusters" will present a live radio play of almost 30 minutes.
