When bottle musicians are in the mood for Christmas, they make "Kling, Glöckchen, klingelingeling" on the Jägermeister xylophone, "Parapapampam" on the water dispenser djembe or "Tätärätätä" on the green 0.33 liter longneck bottle from the beverage market next door. Sometimes mouth-blown, sometimes handmade, one festive tune turned inside out follows the next, bringing a breath of fresh air to the classic Advent songs. What is it about Advent and the festive season that makes it so special? The traditions and customs? The presents and the challenges of getting them? The short and cold days of December? Or in the end, the thoughts of loved ones? The GlasBlasSing Quintet has come up with the most impossible answers to all these questions, and provided them with richly inappropriate melodies.
