Between 09.06. and 04.09.2022, the non-profit ora da! e.V. invites you again in 2022 to the urban open air festival "Go West V - Inner City" at the Güneş Theater (Gallusviertel). The total of 51 events from a wide range of artistic disciplines will give audiences of all ages emotional and spiritual insights into the various facets of the cultures and movements we experience in our cities. In cooperation with the International Theater Frankfurt, the International Federation Frankfurt, the cinema of the DFF and the "Supa Dupa Fly" - project, the Güneş Theater in close collaboration with KunstInAnderenRäumen has put together a diverse program.
On the 130th anniversary of Oliver Hardy's birth, Ralph Turnheim will be the only silent film narrator in the German-speaking world to dub three short films by Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy live with real film projection at this event. The two are the most popular comedic duo in film history and together made about 100 films - about 30 of them in the silent era. For this evening, Turnheim presents three favorites: "Big Business" (1929), "Liberty" (1929) and "Leave 'Em Laughing" (1928).
