Eleo Leike mistakenly receives e-mails from an Emmi Rothner he doesn't know. Out of politeness, he replies to her. And because Emmi feels verbally attracted to him, she writes back. After initial banter, real communication develops and, subsequently, an increasingly intimate friendship. Things start to crackle on the line. And Leo's emails are good against the north wind that won't let Emmi sleep when it blows.
