It was their big breakthrough: when Gotthard released their spectacular unplugged album "Defrosted" in 1997, a completely new era began for them: after their furious rocket start in 1992 with headlining tours and their first #1 albums in Switzerland, Gotthard went one better with the unplugged live album. "Defrosted" went double platinum after three months. To this day, many people have goose bumps when they think back to the Unplugged shows 20 years ago. The band reached a milestone - the tour gave the guys a new fan base on top. Exactly two decades later there will be a new edition, with an even more enhanced concept.
On the outside Gotthard have again picked the finest clubs and secured the fattest big festivals - but on the inside the band now of course has 20 years more experience and a truckload of more hits. The "Defrosted unplugged Tour 2018" will feature high-fives with current and past guest musicians, all-time faves and new hits like "Heaven," "Lift U Up" and "Anytime, Anywhere" that weren't even written in 1997 - all wrapped up in brand new acoustic arrangements at a unique party full of big moments, quiet memories and much-loved riffs.
