Grand opening of Terminal 3 on 22 April 2026
Fraport will officially open Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport on 22 April 2026. Following successful approval by the authorities, preparations for trial operations are now underway.
After the opening in April, airlines will operate flights to Schengen and non-Schengen destinations. To this end, the 57 airlines currently based in Terminal 2 will move permanently to Terminal 3 in four waves between mid-April and early June. They will thus be the first users of the new building in the south of Frankfurt Airport.
