One of the pioneers of hip-hop as a guest at Centralstation!
He comes to Centralstation. Pioneer of hip-hop culture that originated in the southern Bronx: Grandmaster Flash! It was he who began manipulating music by making his fingers dance on records, perfecting beat-looping, and inventing many of the legendary beats that are still sampled today.
Fueled by the music of the early '70s, hip-hop's rise to prominence was a huge success. Much of what was hugely influential musically has faded into obscurity over the years. But Grandmaster Flash has compiled archival snippets from the major record labels, Master Records, as well as unreleased video and visual material.
With a unique live visual show, DJ legend, Grandmaster Flash Himself, comes to Darmstadt for a hip-hop tribute.
