Joakim Nilsson and Rikard Edlund previously played together in the stoner/doom metal band Norrsken, which disbanded in 2000; they also formed the band Graveyard in 2006. It consists of Joakim Nilsson (guitar & vocals), Rikard Edlund (bass), Axel Sjöberg (drums) and Jonathan Ramm (guitar & vocals).
2007's first album Graveyard was recorded under the direction of producer Don Ahlsterberg, who has also worked with The Soundtrack of Our Lives and The International Noise Conspiracy, and released on September 10 of that year on Transubstans Records. The album garnered consistently good reviews.
After an extensive tour of Europe (including with Witchcraft) and the U.S. (with CKY), the four Swedes returned to the studio where they recorded their second album, Hisingen Blues, which was eventually released in March 2011 via the Nuclear Blast label.
The band's latest album Lights Out hit stores on October 24, 2012.
