On Shrove Sunday, March 3, the Wiesbaden Shrove Sunday parade, known far beyond the borders of the city, awaits. It starts in good tradition at 13.11 o'clock at the Elsässer place. From there, the procession makes its way through the city centre, past the town hall and thousands of fools on the roadside. After the procession has finished its journey, Wiesbaden continues to celebrate for a long time. In the bars and pubs, there is then a boisterous carnival atmosphere until the early morning hours.
