You have to mark the 22nd of June 2017 green in your calendar. Because then, for the first time, the entire city will be completely under the sign of the Green Sauce. True to the motto: Frankfurt eats itself to the world record!
Whether in the company, in prominent places in the city center, in schools and kindergartens or in one of the countless catering establishments in the city - all of Frankfurt will set a world record in eating green sauce. As dusk falls, many of the city's buildings glow with green light.
In Frankfurt, green sauce stands for home and tradition, but also for modernity and diversity. It is not only the people of Frankfurt who love its cult: Grie Soß is an existing Frankfurt trademark.
The motto of the day: We together are Frankfurt! We live diversity and tolerance in our city - and our city stands for business, education and culture! The involvement of Frankfurt companies in this event strengthens the local economy and soft location factors. Numerous catering businesses, large caterers, well-known companies as well as associations and educational institutions have already declared their participation.
How does the world record work?
With every green sauce consumed at a participating location, an individualized code will be issued. This can be entered online on June 22 and will be counted directly. Each participating business, restaurant, caterer, etc. will purchase the codes in advance for their employees, guests, etc.
The world record will be monitored by the Record Institute for Germany. With 231,775 servings consumed and counted, Frankfurt has achieved the world record for eating green sauce!
