Discover, Explore and Learn in the GreenBelt

ffm. The big wind festival for young and old will take place on the occasion of the anniversary "30 years of GreenBelt" on Saturday, 24 October. On the topic of wind and renewable energies, the association Umweltlernen in Frankfurt offers a colorful program with many hands-on activities from 2 to 5 p.m. on the Heiligenstock.

With distance in the fresh air! So young and old can enjoy at the 17. Windfest in the GreenBelt:

build kites and windmills themselves,

let the built and brought flying objects fly,

as researchers experiment with wind generators, wind meters, and much more,

sail super-light balsa planes,

try out smart energy use on the SmartGrid,

make mobiles out of natural materials,

create wind and weather sounds in the sound workshop.

At the end of the season in the GrünGürtel education space, the education festival invites weatherproof visitors to the Heiligenstock, one of the Frankfurt GrünGürtel learning stations. The wind festival is part of the city's educational programme "Discover, research and learn in Frankfurt's GrünGürtel". The programme is jointly supported by the Environment, City Schools and Green Spaces Departments, as well as the Environmental Learning in Frankfurt Association, and is supported by the Aiolos Dragon Club.
