By the great Turkish poet Nazim Hikmet Ran, born in 1902 in Tessaloniki, died in 1963 in Mokau, is one of the eyewitnesses of the first half of the 20th century. He dealt with the events of his time in his art: The two world wars, the collapse of empires, political and social revolutions, mass impoverishment, the formation of new forms of society, and artistic and scientific developments. Through his poetry we find an access to his inner world. It grapples with many of the great issues of his time and their implications.
His boundless mind allowed him to try out new forms of expression in various disciplines. He was a playwright, painter, journalist, poet, screenwriter, novelist and critic. The production is a romantic excursion. It immerses us in Hikmet's poetry and melodies and makes us feel a part of immense utopia.
