Horticulturalist Ingo Bohl will lead a tour on Sunday, 11. July, at 11 a.m. through the Chinese Garden in Bethmannpark.
The view, widespread in Chinese philosophy, that the garden is a microcosm of the universe is reflected in its structure and design. The garden is subject to the rhythms of nature. They influence its image, but also the moods that result from seasonal changes. These can be emphasised or intensified by the choice of plants. In spring, for example, the tiered snowball, the flowering dogwood and the Chinese tree peonies give the Chinese Garden its very own character.
The guided tour is an event organized by the Parks Department as part of the GartenRheinMain annual program. Meeting point is in Bethmannpark at the main gate to the Chinese Garden (two lions). The free guided tour lasts about two hours.
Due to the Corona pandemic, advance registration is required by email to ingo.bohl@gmx.de. The number of participants is limited to ten. Wearing mouth-nose covering is mandatory.
