With a high-quality cultural program, the medieval market "Herrenborn" and rousing shows promises the Hayner Castle Festival from 9 to 11 September an eventful journey through time. Under the motto "The Life of Knights - Between Sword and Love", the Spectaculum will take visitors back to the 12th century, when the imperial chamberlains of the Holy Roman Empire resided in Dreieichenhain Castle. Courtly tournaments are at the centre of the action. Fast-paced equestrian and sword-fighting action, a game of intrigue and a love story accompany the knights' games on the tournament square. In the evenings, well-known bands such as BraAgas and Saor Patrol (Friday from 7 p.m.) and Ranunculus (Saturday from 8 p.m.) play. Minstrels, jugglers and jugglers provide entertainment on the stages and in the market. About 100 craftsmen, traders, hawkers and innkeepers populate the area around the former imperial castle "Hayn in der Dreieich". Knights, servants, maids and mercenaries convey a vivid impression of everyday life at that time.
