London. A large train station concourse. Alex Priest, 75, is sitting on a bench when suddenly a younger woman approaches and kisses his neck. Oops, obviously a case of mistaken identity. She introduces herself as Georgie Burns, 42 years old, and unceremoniously sits down with him. Alex is alienated, but also quickly intrigued by this person who constantly reveals contradictory life details without being asked. Is she a waitress, an assassin or a secretary, is her husband tragically deceased, did she just run away or was she not married at all? In any case, Georgie, bubbly, impulsive, talkative, outgoing and yet lonely, begins, unabashedly and rather disarmingly, to shake up his pedantically ordered recluse life (shy, secretive and living alone since his one great childhood sweetheart married someone else). The title of the play Heisenberg by the successful British author Simon Stephens refers, of course, to the famous physicist Werner Heisenberg and his famous theory of the uncertainty principle. But this is not about physics, it is about love. It is also true of the physics of love, as it is of any other experiment, that the observed object inevitably changes as a result of observation. Heisenberg is thus a tribute to the innumerable possibilities of our lives and to the changes that love can bring about. A celebration of an actress and an actor. The actress is Anna Stieblich. She studied at the University of Music and Drama in Hanover. She became known to a large audience through her role of Doris in the ARD early evening series Türkisch für Anfänger. Since then she has appeared in numerous TV productions (e.g. Doctor's Diary, Die Pfefferkörner, Brief an mein Leben, Tatort) and worked in various theatres in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
