Swedish trombonist Nils Landgren has been treating his fans to the "Christmas With My Friends" tours since 2005, while his Norwegian colleague Bugge Wesseltoft plays his festive "It's Snowing On My Piano" concerts with nice regularity. In terms of "Nordic Christmas", Helene Blum and Harald Haugaard from Denmark are also among the most important voices of wintry music with their vocals and violins. They dedicate themselves to Scandinavian traditions with virtuosic ease and at the same time surprise with new, dazzling timbres. Helene Blum's clear, touching voice harmonizes perfectly with Harald Haugaard's violin playing. The Swede Esbjörn Hazelius fits in wonderfully with his baritone and is also a virtuoso on the mandola. Mikkel Grue (guitars), Kirstine Elise Pedersen (cello) and Sune Rahbek (percussion) provide a chamber-musical impression of folk music of wonderful radiance. Thus the attunement to the feast of love succeeds.
