When Siegfried slays the dragon with his much too large sword rather out of helplessness, when the stately Brunhild is deceived rather than vanquished, and especially when she hangs the weakling King Gunther in the window cross, it becomes clear: There are no more heroes. With surprising ideas, hard rhythms and brilliant melodies, a medieval epic is conjured onto the stage, taken apart and put together anew.
