More than 7000 dancers from all federal states of Germany as well as more and more from abroad take part in this world's largest amateur dance tournament every year in May.
"Hessen tanzt" has been organized for more than 30 years by the Hessischer Tanzsportverband e.V. (HTV) with its approximately 330 clubs and dance sport departments. Alone about 180 adjudicators and another 200 employees in the tournament managements help to handle "Hessen tanzt" organizationally.
Simultaneously on up to eight dance floors in the Eissporthalle Frankfurt, the audience can experience dance tournaments of all performance classes and age groups, both in the standard as well as in the Latin American dances, "live".
Three days of "dance sports total" - with free admission.
During the breaks there will be spectacular show performances from all dance disciplines. At the upper circuit of the ice sports hall you can inform yourself during the tournament breaks about current trends around the dance sport and find interesting sales booths for dance sport supplies, cosmetics, music, etc.
