Holger Paetz is a linguistically virtuoso cabaret writer. The "Buster Keaton of the word" writes hair-splittingly abstruse texts, rubs himself against image-rich formulations and underpins the whole thing with a misanthropic-melancholic mood. Dryly, with touches of black humour, Paetz argues about politics and everyday life, deflates taboos and cuts up explosive topics in a lasting way. As a quirky song poet with virtuoso guitar accompaniment, his songs produce veritable earworms.
He has been a guest at the Stalburg Theater for many years, currently with his program "Auch Veganer verwelken". At the STOFFEL he now does us a "BEST OF", that is, a cross-section of everything that was ever good from Paetz. And that's quite a lot.
