With a total of 38 artists, this year's presentation provides a profound insight into the multifaceted oeuvre of the graduates of the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste - Städelschule. For the first time, rooms in the main building MMK 1 will also be the venue for the show, in addition to MMK 3.
The title of the exhibition is based on a line from the US national anthem: "O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave". In the context of the final exhibition at the MMK, the song line opens up new levels of interpretation. In addition to a political meaning, it may also refer to the graduates and art colleges themselves, which in today's world create a natural antithesis - a "home of the brave" - to the increasingly reactionary tendencies in the world.
