After Sherlock Holmes and Edgar Wallace, now comes the live radio play Western by Wolfgang Vater and Klaus Krückemeyer, freely adapted from motifs by Karl May. As always with costumes, effects, music and "hand-made" sounds. In the Llano Estacado a gang of criminals spreads fear and terror: the coyotes. When Old Shatterhand and his companion Sam Hawkens come across a stagecoach whose passengers have been murdered in cold blood, the two westerners pick up the trail of the bandits. A chase across the western USA begins, in which the hunters soon become the hunted. The coyotes are not only after fat prey, but also the life of a young lady. A "road movie" for the ears - action-packed and exciting until the big showdown.
