tropical, lascivious pop
It's easy, of course, to compare Hush Moss to Connan Mockasin or Devendra Banhart, who draw from sounds of yesteryear just like said artist. Only Hush Moss just digs a corner deeper and beams us into the kitschy world and decadence of the late eighties and early nineties. Listening to the latest disc "It takes a lot" you suddenly find yourself in a pink tiger-striped morning coat on the grand piano in your own New York penthouse, where you're just having a good time with a strong and well-sweetened strawberry daiquiri. You can hear the good old saxophone, creamy R&B sounds and oldschool basslines from the 70s that make you do rhythmic dance moves. Just great!
