The young southern Frenchwoman is currently considered the super talent of French soul - which is not surprising, since she has a goosebump-producing, slightly hoarse-sounding grandiose voice. Musically you can expect a relaxed-groovy melange of soul, funk, R&B and jazzy elements. The young singer-songwriter impresses with a great voice and band spirit. On her new CD "B-Side", the musician actually develops further that habitus still known from the good old vinyl single; music that was allowed to elaborate on the B-side those cravings that didn't make it on an album because they were too experimental, different, brave, crazy or wayward, a theme that Hyleen probably prefers to describe best herself: "The B-side of a vinyl single is often less commercial, but very cool. I wanted to draw a parallel to the diversity of people and the diversity of their feelings. My character also has several facets. When I feel good, I laugh a lot. But basically I'm more shy and less extroverted. That's why I challenge myself with my lyrics and show feelings in them that I normally wouldn't reveal. In a way, I'm expressing my B-side with that."
