This year, the international whisky fair InterWhisky invites you to Frankfurt on the first weekend in December. The perfect time to escape the pre-Christmas stress with a whisky of the national as well as international exhibitors. The special feature of the fair is the meeting of very different characters of the whisky scene as well as the presence of all brands that are relevant in the whisky scene. Finally get together again, share an outing with friends and at the same time learn what novelties the whisky industry has produced in recent months. This year, InterWhisky welcomes almost all exhibitors from the whisky segment and accordingly offers countless opportunities to whisky tastings with the opportunity to taste and purchase one or another novelty.
So during the three-day fair, beginners, enthusiasts, professionals, experts and many other personalities meet to exchange ideas. The InterWhisky takes place on a total of three days in the Gesellschaftshaus of the Frankfurt Palmengarten. The whisky enjoyment in the ballroom as well as the spacious gallery of the building represents a special highlight. The concept of last year, to divide the fair on Saturday in 2. halves, in order to divide the streams of visitors, proved thereby as meaningful. Thus, bottlenecks can be bypassed and there are better opportunities to taste the different whisky qualities. At the same time, it is possible for everyone to book the whole day as well.
Seminars and masterclasses by whisky experts
With the 23. Edition this year, it is not only the oldest and largest whisky fair in Germany, but also a great celebration for the entire whisky scene. The program of the fair includes, among other things, numerous whiskey seminars as well as advanced "Master Classes" and "GRAND Master Classes" where both beginners and professionals can learn all sorts of interesting facts about whiskey - of course, while tasting different whiskey qualities of the respective distillery. In addition, there are the booths of almost all well-known whiskey brands, which hold numerous bottlings and information for the curious visitors.
Whisky Talk meets Finest Scottish Food
The anticipation for the shared evening on the first day of the fair is particularly high, because under the title Whisky Talk & Finest Scottish Food, a social evening will take place in Frankfurt that combines everything desirable about whisky and its origin. The event will take place on Friday, December 2, 2022, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the SIESMAYER Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main on the exhibition grounds. Guests will include Martin Markvardsen - Highland Park Whisky Brand Ambassador, Barry McAffer - new Distillery Manager at Laphroaig and Sandy McIntyre - Distillery Manager at Tamdhu. This will be accompanied by a Scottish menu in a relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity for an exchange over numerous whisky qualities.
For those who cannot be present on this evening, there will be delicacies from the Scottish and Irish cuisine on the exhibition grounds, which are an ideal accompaniment to the whisky qualities. The scene is finally breathing a sigh of relief this year and will be holding a big get-together just in time for the festive season, which neither whisky nor cigar lovers should miss. A special highlight for Acofinados is the cigar lounge with Balmoral cigars from the Scandinavian Tobacco Group, the largest manufacturer of cigars and pipe tobacco in the world.
