With penetrating and precise language, Falk Richter writes theatre texts of burning topicality - political and often uncomfortable, they hit the nerve and the attitude to life of an entire generation. "Rausch" is a play about the longing for an unalienated life in times of all-encompassing crisis: financial crisis, European crisis, crisis of democracy, decline in values. In our world of permanent evaluation and self-optimization, dissatisfaction has spread - because even love, as the last utopia, is turning into a hotly contested market: When can we really be sure that we have found the great love? Won't something better come along at some point? What happens when the rush of feelings is over? The seven students of the studio year embark on a joint quest to break out of the all-encompassing capitalization of their lifeworld and find spaces of undreamed-of freedom.
